EKL4 short circuit and ground fault indicator
1- Detailed introduction:
The EKL4 short circuit and ground fault indicator is
mainly used in various ring main unit switchgears, high voltage switch cabinets
and cable branch boxes of power systems. Accurate and reliable detection of
faulty sections and fault types in the grid is important to improve the
operation level of the distribution network and the efficiency of accident
handling. Its design uses electromagnetic induction, photoelectric conversion,
signal transmission and single-chip control technology to make the fault alarm
with high accuracy and strong anti-interference ability.
2- working principle:
The ground fault is judged by detecting the
zero-sequence current of the line as the judgment basis, and the short-circuit
fault is used as the judgment basis for detecting the line current overflow,
which is displayed by the indicator light on the reading meter. The meter is
mounted on the front panel of the power distribution cabinet, and the ground or
short-circuit sensor is mounted on the cable. The sensor is connected to the
meter via fiber optic wire. The grounding indicator on the panel illuminates to
indicate a single-phase ground fault; the short-circuit indicator on the panel
illuminates to indicate an interphase short-circuit fault or an indirect
short-circuit fault.
3- Features:
Adaptation range: Installed on the panel of
ring main unit switchgears, branch box and substation
cabinets. It consists of a master device, three short-circuit sensors, and a
grounding sensor.
Working principle: When the line and zero
sequence current reach set value, the short circuit and grounding sensor will
upload the obtained fault signal to the main control device through the fiber
optic cable, and the short circuit and grounding indicator will flash alarm.
